On the Accuracy of a Difference Scheme for Nonstationary Problems of Coupled Thermoelasticity in Stresses

Abstract:

We construct a difference scheme for solving a one-dimensional problem of the coupled nonstationary theory of thermoelasticity in stresses (deformations). We obtain a condition for its stability and prove theorems on the accuracy of the scheme constructed. We give the results of computing nonstationary waves in an elastic layer under instantaneous application of surface forces.
