Abstract:

We consider a problem of the analysis of interaction between acoustic and electric oscillations in a layered medium containing the layers of semiconductors and piezoelectrics. We propose a mathematical model for this problem based on a coupled system of PDEs consisting of (a) the quasi-hydrodynamic model and the equations of elasticity for the semiconductor layer and (b) the fully coupled system of thermo-piezoelectricity. This system is supplemented by appropriate initial and boundary conditions. For the numerical solution of the resulting mathematical model we propose a difference scheme, developed by taking into account the coupling effects between different physical fields which are essential in the analysis of acousto-electronic wave interactions in layered media.
